Parents’ Leadership and the Global Influence of the Church

People are Giving Up on Christianity
Daniel Silliman (2022) in Christianity Today made the following observation from a PEW research study that projects that the religious identity of Christianity in the US will drop below 50 percent by 2070. "From 50 years of research by the General Social Survey and PEW’s own survey of 15,000 adults in 2019, indicates the current trend is inexorable. People are giving up on Christianity. They will continue to do so. And if you’re trying to predict the future religious landscape in America, according to PEW, the question is not whether Christianity will decline. It’s how fast and how far."
In light of an inexorable trend of decline in the identity of Christianity in America, how parents can help advance the Church’s global influence, by her witness of Christ has been the work of the Parents Leadership Development Center. Parenting leadership involves the competence, and the diligence parents give to developing the early childhood Christian formation of the children God gives them, starting from conception, the formative years, and into their young adulthood. As the primary ministers and the principal educators of the children God entrusts to them, I maintain that parents’ leadership development is the resources, tools, frameworks, and the inspiration that Church Principals are to make available to build their skills set for affecting their children’s early childhood Christian formation.
As the Diagram suggests, parents’ competence in Christian formation would yield in highly effective parenting that is efficient to help the children succeed in the management of their Christian life, as evidenced in the parenting of Sampson to be a Nazarite (Judges 13:1-25).

A pursuit of boosting the collective capacity of Christian parents’ leadership in the early childhood Christian formation of their own children, for a global influence of the Church is the creation of the Parents Leadership Development Center and its principal mission:
The mass education of parents, to gain parenting skills set that they would diligently use, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, to shape/form/condition the mental, emotions, and behavioral assets of their children’s early childhood Christian formation.
