As parents, your position as a portal for the entrance of ‘your’ child into the world is not a random occurrence. It is a natural positioning that God specifically put in place in creation. It has a similar value for human existence, as does the air we breathe. That human existence cannot survive on earth, without air, it is also true that without the positioning of parents in creation, human existence cannot take place on earth, since parents are God’s portals for the entrance of mankind into the world. As God has ordered things to be in creation for certain specific functions, he has also rendered it certain in creation that without parents, his objective for forming Christ’s oneness with the Church cannot happen.
Why Parents Are The Key
From early childhood into their young adulthood, the children are to bear and live out the identity God had set for the Church, (to be the body and the bride of Christ), and the lifestyle of a strong personal influence of God in the management of their day-to-day decisions and choices, as modeled by Jesus Christ. As the primary ministers of God, parents are to influence and manage the formation of their children’s identity as the bride of Christ and the Christ’s lifestyle. That is why parents are at the core of God’s parenthood for the cause of Christ and his Kingdom improving society.
Good Families Become Good Neighbors
With all of the anti-Christian forces that act upon our children and families today, it is important parents come together as one team. With strong parents creating strong families, it becomes a natural activity to become a caring, nurturing neighbor who helps others to lead a thriving Christian life. And neighborhoods become safer for families and children.
Creating a Culture in a Community
When neighbors come together with a common ethos, a culture forms. PLDC’s mission ensures that the parenthood outcomes of Christ’s lifestyle of God’s influence in His decisions and choices formed in their children is core to that culture. However, the Holy Spirit doesn't spread by accident. It spreads when parents are intentional and diligent with the Christian formation of their children to exude the influence of God in their lifestyle.
Building The Civilization God Wants
As the culture of Christ’s lifestyle in the behaviors and attitudes of families and children spreads through the ministry of parenthood, it would foster cities and towns that are safe to live in. With the culture of the lifestyle of Christ, we can reverse the trends of violence, drugs, crime, abortion, divorce, and juvenile delinquency. We can build cities as God had intended through parenthood...a nurturing, thriving, and safe society for all.
The Foundation for Leaders and Citizens
With one good example will follow another. As other cities see how to create a safe, thriving environment based on a solid foundation of the living example of Christ in families and children, other cities will follow until the entire state embraces the way forward. From the networking and interaction of parents sharing their thoughts, ideas, and experiences will flow the strength to change each and every state.
